“My name is Cameron MacIntosh.
I’m the president and co-founder of Tuesday Club 613.
So we started Tuesday Club in March, 2022.
This is just after the public health restrictions were lifting from COVID.
I noticed there were a lot of businesses that were really, really struggling.
And so we wanted to figure out some way to support members of our community, support small business.
And we realized Tuesday night, very slow night of the week, if we can get a group out on there, it can have an impact.
So this is, if you can believe it, we’ve done almost 150 events now since March, 2022.
So that’s either weekly or bi-weekly, depending on the time of year.
And we’ve grown to almost 2,500 members.
So it is something where clearly there’s an appetite in this city for connection.
There’s an appetite for the building of community, for providing spaces that allow people to sort of meet and get to know each other and develop as human beings.
And I think, you know, it’s been really, really humbling to just see this take off because when I, originally when we started it, it was, you know, it was just me and a few friends.
