Growing up in suburban Canada, places like Centretown felt a little bit like traveling to a different planet for me, reserved primarily for coming to the doctor’s office or going on school field trips.
As a realtor, as I was exploring different communities to figure out what fit my clients needs the best, I realized that Centretown offered a lot of what I was looking for in a community, and also best represented the City of Ottawa being a melting pot or an amalgamation of sorts, where all the different communities around the area sort of come together in a bit of a milieu.
I especially love some of the restaurants floating around.
It’s got some of the best food in the city.
It also has some of the best activities, and I recently attended a couple of fall markets, and I’m really excited to see more and more of that come out, as community focus becomes the way forward for a lot of communities and companies.
Supporting locals critical and local markets and local communities and local events are definitely the path forward for community engagement and community involvement in these walkable areas.
So I’m really excited to see more of that come to Centretown, and I’m hoping that I’ll be able to guide more of my clients towards that as well.
