“I’m London Lightning.
I’ve been wrestling for three years now. I started in Calgary and I trained under Chris Knight, Harry Smith.
I came back home to Ottawa and learned from Stu Grayson and Evil Uno, who I’m very happy to have had under or to be under the wing of.
I trained out in the Nightmare Factory with my younger brother Storm Ryder. We’ve wanted to be wrestlers since as far as we can remember. Our dream is to be wrestlers and to do it as a tag team.
It’s quite exciting. We genuinely just want to bring this to the top. Like we wanted to be the best. I think both of us would say we want to be the best at our craft.
It’s one of the joys we experience every day where no matter what we’re doing, whether it’s working out, work, real life problems, wrestling brings us joy.
I’ve wrestled all over North America at this point. I’ve wrestled in Vancouver. I’ve wrestled in Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Montreal. I’ve liked to think that I’ve, I’m Canada-traveled at least. We’ve done tours out in Tennessee. We’ve done it in Georgia, Kentucky. So we’ve done a lot in the Southeast of America and we sure as heck done a lot across Canada. So hopefully we want to expand and maybe take it out towards Europe, maybe take it to Japan.
In Ottawa, Centretown, we’re wrestling regularly two to three times a month. That’s always the goal. We want to wrestle as much as we can in our hometown.
What’s my catchphrase?
“Boomshakalaka” is the first thing that pops in my mind.
But hey, Boomshakalaka, I’ve been Boomshakalaka for what? Three years now, Ryder!
But a lot of times I like to say that, I mean, I’ve been told that I’m good, but not just good. I’m really good!
So sometimes I like to bring that around, that I’m not good. I’m really gooood.
I’m London Lightning, baby!
Hello, my name is Storm Ryder.
I am one half of Northern Thunder with my brother London Lightning. I’m a professional wrestler locally here in Ottawa, and I’ve done a lot of traveling as well. I don’t have quite the resume my brother does just yet.
I’m a lot newer to the business. I’ve only been wrestling for about a year now, but I still have done some cool things. I’ve gone to Quebec to wrestle. I’ve gone to Toronto to wrestle. I’ve wrestled right here in my home of Ottawa, in Centretown. And every time I do it no matter where I am no matter where this business takes me. I love it. I love to travel.
I love to do the long car rides with the boys, especially when you’re with someone like with your brother. Even me and him went to Georgia together.
We lived in Georgia. We were training under Cody Rhodes at the Nightmare Factory and that was just an experience in its own. We would do long car rides to Kentucky to Tennessee and Georgia. That was about a 20-hour drive there, but I missed the time of it.
But I’m still happy to be back home doing what I love and wrestling performing in front of all you guys.
I’m a little bit newer, but I probably wrestled about Maybe like 20 plus times here in Centretown over the last year.
I just kind of broke into it, like London said about once to three times every month, we wrestle in Ottawa and then we get taken over by like Gatineau and stuff like that in the Quebec and GTA area. I was also trained by Stu Grayson and Evil Uno right here in Ottawa. They are Ottawa legends, some may say so I’m very thankful for all the training I got.
What’s my catchphrase? I mean I do go by the force of nature. I sometimes like to end my promos or what I say to people by saying “I’ve arrived so take shelter because there’s a force of nature coming!”.
They call me Storm Rider, right?”
