“I’m Jouella, a mother, and a creator at heart. Looking back, I realize that Centretown became such a big part of my early days in Ottawa. When I moved here with my family, one of my first jobs was working at a local salon in Centretown as a bartender. The community was so welcoming that it inspired me to dive deeper into creating experiences and connecting with people. I started hosting cocktail events and managing the socials for some neighborhood favorites, like Massine’s Your Independent on Bank Street. Those early experiences taught me to notice the rhythm of Centretown , the energy in everyday interactions, and the stories waiting to be told.

Centretown feels like my creative playground. Every corner, every storefront, every local business pushed me to explore, experiment, and share stories that feel real. I enjoy capturing moments that show life unfolding, whether it’s the energy of a local spot, the vibe of the streets, or playful afternoons with my kids. My children are a central part of my life, and including them in my content feels natural, meaningful, and joyful. I make sure these stories are shared safely, playfully, and honestly, because I want my audience to feel life as it really is.

My process is simple but intentional. I observe, I capture, and I always create with the goal of telling a story that resonates. Centretown gave me my first real opportunities, and it’s here that I learned to love the craft of content creation, to take risks, to explore, and to celebrate the people and places that make a community feel alive. Even now, everything I create carries that influence: authenticity, storytelling, and a love for the neighborhood that continues to inspire me every day.”
