“My name is Geneviève and I am a business owner in Centretown who likes to facilitate creativity for members of the community.

Art House is a cafe and bar. It is also an event venue and an art gallery.

I think it’s about roughly a hundred artists being represented at any given time in the house.

So in terms of events we’ve got, of course, live music, we’ve got workshops like life drawing.

I think that people come to Art House because of the environment that we’ve created.

We want people to see diversity and just freedom of expression so that they feel comfortable to express exactly who they are and incite in them a sense of curiosity.

So if you’d like to keep talking about creativity with me you can always leave a comment or send me a DM and we can pick up the conversation.

I really like helping people to connect with their own creativity and apply it in whatever projects that they’ve got to develop any kind of vision or to execute on their own visions.

So yeah feel free to reach out.”

more Stories of People

Centretown would like to acknowledge that Ottawa is built on the unceded, unsurrendered Territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation.

The Anishinaabe Algonquin peoples have lived on this land since time immemorial. We recognize and deeply appreciate their historic connection to this place. We also recognize the contributions of Métis, Inuit, and other Indigenous peoples have made, both in shaping and strengthening this community in particular, and our province and country as a whole.
