“Hello my name is Nicolai Gregory and I’m a photographer here in Ottawa and I’m honored to introduce myself and my business to the people of Centretown along with launching this really cool project.

Along with my partner Megan, we own this business called @NPGStudio.

It’s a commercial photography studio here in Ottawa that focuses on portraiture, editorial, branding and some interior work.

We were approached by the BIA to help launch this space Uncommon Ottawa here.

It’ll be an event space during the day it’s going to be a spot for daytime hangouts lunch you know if you work downtown or just meet up with your friends solo with groups all that stuff at night there’ll be a stage there’ll be music so those are the kind of things that we’re going to be focusing on the photography launch that we’re doing on the 14th and 15th, 14th being the daytime shoot, 15th being the evening shoot. I’ve reached out to a bunch of you and we’re just really excited to photograph this space.

I’ve lived in Ottawa in Centretown for 16 years. I just moved away but it’s still my home and I’ve reached out to all the people that I know and love from this space the people you run into when you’re walking down the street and that’s what makes this area so great and that’s what this space is going to be about is coming and just you know you’ll come with your friends but you’ll see your friends in the other corner and we’re really going to look into that and and showcase that in the photography and you’ll see it when you come and check the place out for yourself.

You can find me on instagram @nicolaipgregory

The website is NPGStudio.com please reach out if you want to work with us or if you just want to check out the work we’ve been doing with a lot of these local businesses that we feature with the BIA in the first place.”

more Stories of People

Centretown would like to acknowledge that Ottawa is built on the unceded, unsurrendered Territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation.

The Anishinaabe Algonquin peoples have lived on this land since time immemorial. We recognize and deeply appreciate their historic connection to this place. We also recognize the contributions of Métis, Inuit, and other Indigenous peoples have made, both in shaping and strengthening this community in particular, and our province and country as a whole.
