“We wanted to make a product that was inclusive for a lot of people so it covers a lot of different allergies. Someone’s you know got a dairy allergy or a nut allergy or gluten-free — we want our desserts to be able to go to a party or an event where 99% of the guests can eat it safely and enjoy it but like I said the catch is you got to make it good because someone who has a lot of intolerances — they might accept something that’s not as great because that’s all they can eat but if you want to be inclusive you have to make it so that someone without any allergies or preferences will eat it and say wow this is really good! Like this pina colada — oh my god this is awesome — it tastes just like a virgin pina colada but they have no dietary restrictions but they like the product. That’s what you want to be able to satisfy and then the extra bonus is — oh by the way if you’re dairy-free or vegan or gluten-free you can also enjoy it so that’s kind of the market we wanted to be able to get to.
In Centretown, we sell in some cafes and little grocery stores so you can find us at Art House on Somerset. You can find us at Equator Coffee at the NAC and then also just over the bridge on Main Street you can find us at the grocery store called NU, the zero waste grocery store. We do the Arlington markets which is a lot of fun and it’s just two blocks from where we live so it’s just cool to be able to live in Centretown, sell in Centretown and you know enjoy the neighbors that we have. It’s a lot of fun.”
