“Hey Centretown, the calls I have been getting from you guys about going back into the office and freaking out about not having enough clothes that make you feel put together has been extraordinary this month so let’s talk about it.

My name is Rebecca Rowe.

I am a personal stylist here in Ottawa.

I have been doing personal styling for about two years now and the look on people’s face when they feel awesome going back into work is why I do what I do.

The confidence that women are able to exude when they like their outfit is unparalleled.

When you’re talking about style there’s a few things that I need you to pay attention to.

One, it’s a skill and skills are learned so the more you play around in your closet and the more you’re willing to try things on even if you think it may not look fantastic the better at putting together outfits you’re going to be.

That came out right?, it’s fine.

And one way I want you to start doing this literally right now is by putting together an outfit exactly the way you would and then grabbing something that feels wrong and try it on.

Worst case scenario you say that girl on the internet doesn’t know what she’s talking about and best case scenario you found yourself a brand new outfit.

So if you want to continue this conversation head over to rebeccarowe.ca and you can find me there.

Thanks Centretown.”

Centretown would like to acknowledge that Ottawa is built on the unceded, unsurrendered Territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation.

The Anishinaabe Algonquin peoples have lived on this land since time immemorial. We recognize and deeply appreciate their historic connection to this place. We also recognize the contributions of Métis, Inuit, and other Indigenous peoples have made, both in shaping and strengthening this community in particular, and our province and country as a whole.
