This event is a debut showcase for a local visual artist here in Ottawa, hosted at Third Place Studio (formerly known as Down to the Wire) on 151 Bank Street. The event is curated in collaboration between Third Place owner Jacob Racco and local Ottawa artist Logan Hotchkiss. The event will feature other Ottawa creatives such as visual artist Anika Leung along with tattoo artists Gabrielle Matta and Hailey Duhaime.
The event will be the debut art show for Logan, displaying his work in a gallery type setting, with early access being offered to his core fan base. He has also decided to include other local artists to his showcase, to also grant them a platform to showcase their talents to art enthusiasts in the city. Anika is one of the other creatives taking part, she is also a visual artist who will be displaying some of her works. While Gabrielle and Hailey are tattoo artists that will be doing an exclusive flash sale at the event, featuring small ink work tailored towards the event. The event aims to bring in several types of art in one place, with the goal of turning Third Place Studio into a mini art house for the evening.
Centretown would like to acknowledge that Ottawa is built on the unceded, unsurrendered Territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation.
The Anishinaabe Algonquin peoples have lived on this land since time immemorial. We recognize and deeply appreciate their historic connection to this place. We also recognize the contributions of Métis, Inuit, and other Indigenous peoples have made, both in shaping and strengthening this community in particular, and our province and country as a whole.
