Jazz you can also groove to. Ottawa-area duo Heirs of the Dog will be followed by Gilles & the Barnburners, a local jazz quintet. Enjoy interpretations of well known folk and jazz tunes as well as some lesser-known gems.
Gilles & the Barnburners formed in 2022, and consists of Sara Everson (sax), Matt Kletke (keys), David Bolton (bass), Chris da Costa (drums), and Martin Laforest (guitar). The group blends an eclectic range of musical tastes and experience to perform jazz standards from the fifties, sixties and seventies, with a particular affinity for Hard Bop, smoky ballads and a sprinkling of Bossa Nova.
