Description

The Gauntlet Mitt Workshop with Colleen Nolan offers a unique opportunity to learn the traditional art of crafting your own pair of beautifully warm, handmade gauntlet mitts.

Participants will enjoy hands-on guidance through each step of the process—from selecting materials to sewing and finishing—with optional beadwork to personalize your creation. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced crafter, all are welcome.

This workshop is more than just crafting; it’s about sharing stories, laughter, and cultural connection in a supportive, community-focused environment. Leave with a completed pair of mitts, new connections, and a deep sense of pride and gratitude.

Centretown would like to acknowledge that Ottawa is built on the unceded, unsurrendered Territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation.

The Anishinaabe Algonquin peoples have lived on this land since time immemorial. We recognize and deeply appreciate their historic connection to this place. We also recognize the contributions of Métis, Inuit, and other Indigenous peoples have made, both in shaping and strengthening this community in particular, and our province and country as a whole.
