❄️ Snow Day Watercolour Workshop ❄️

Celebrate the season with a cozy and creative afternoon of painting. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to paint a cheerful snowman surrounded by a snowy winter landscape, complete with frosted trees and playful details. Using Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolours, you will explore blending, layering, and adding vibrant washes of colour to bring your snowman to life. To finish, we’ll use Holbein Chalk Markers for highlights and textures, creating a playful contrast that makes your winter scene sparkle.

This class is designed for all skill levels, from beginners to experienced painters, and is a great way to enjoy the magic of watercolour in a relaxed setting. All supplies will be provided, including professional paints, quality paper, and markers.

INSTRUCTOR INFO

Patricia Claro is a passionate Filipino Canadian artist with eight years of experience in illustration and over seven years of experience as an art educator teaching students of all skill levels and various age groups. Currently based in Ottawa, she specializes in traditional and digital mediums, specifically character design, environmental art, and both 2D/3D digital painting. Patricia holds an honours diploma in Illustration from Seneca Polytechnic, has a background in Interior Design, as well as Layout for Animation. Currently a freelance book illustrator with FriesenPress, she’s excited to share her expertise in a hands-on, engaging workshop experience for aspiring artists of all levels.

MATERIALS

Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolours: Kuretake Gansai Tambi are traditional Japanese pan watercolours that have been hand-crafted for professional artists. They behave like gouache when thickly applied and like watercolours when watered down.
