“Well, I was saying, I’ve worked in Centertown for over nine years now, and whether it’s because I’ve been here experiencing it for so long, or if it’s because I’m growing up to be a part of it, but I feel like the community of Centertown is growing. It grows every year, something new is happening, or there’s more to see, which maybe I just didn’t notice before, but now I’m seeing it as I live in this area. For example, the Somerset Street patio is one of the coolest things that I’ve seen happen since COVID or since the lockdown. There is now a place where people actually get together on weekends and enjoy a meal on the street, which is something that you don’t really see.” @ericimbibes

more Stories of People

Centretown would like to acknowledge that Ottawa is built on the unceded, unsurrendered Territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation.

The Anishinaabe Algonquin peoples have lived on this land since time immemorial. We recognize and deeply appreciate their historic connection to this place. We also recognize the contributions of Métis, Inuit, and other Indigenous peoples have made, both in shaping and strengthening this community in particular, and our province and country as a whole.
